Meet Dr. Matthew Williams

Chiropractor Fredericton, Dr. Matthew WilliamsDr. Matt started to see his mother’s chiropractor for headaches as a child. After just a couple of treatments, the headaches were gone. The experience sparked Dr. Matt’s interest in the profession. He continued to see a chiropractor while growing up to recover from sport injuries and stay well, and does so to this day.

Following the Chiropractic Path

Dr. Matt knew science was his calling and his Uncle who is an Medical Doctor in Ontario flew him to Windsor and set him up with five chiropractors. Each day, he would shadow a different one, showing him different facets of practice. At the time, Dr. Matt was in his second year at the University of New Brunswick (UNB). He knew then Chiropractic College was his next step. He prepared his application and was accepted early to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.

When he began attending chiropractic college, Dr. Matt met Dr. Sarah, who would be his future wife. He graduated summa cum laude with clinic honours at the top of his class. When he returned to Fredericton, he earned a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science at UNB.

Sports Specialist Training and Further Designations

Dr. Matt is also sports specialist chiropractor and a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (FRCCSS). As a former hockey, football and golf player, he enjoys helping out at various sporting events in our community. Dr. Matt attended the Titleist Performance Institute and has trained in functional range conditioning (FRC). Additionally, he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist®.

Deep Roots in Fredericton

You may recognize Dr. Matt’s name, as his family has been in our area for more than 50 years. His grandfather started an insurance agency that Dr. Matt’s father later took over. Just like them, Dr. Matt wanted to be an entrepreneur and was pleased to return to his hometown to practice.

Together, Dr. Matt and Dr. Sarah have a son, Jack. Dr. Matt is a teacher at the local university and enjoys public speaking, often holding talks on topics such as tendonitis. As a golf lover, he goes to the golf simulator all year round. He’s also a real estate investor with some local rental properties.
